Hi all newbie Glenden here.I’m new to CX but have been a courier for nearly 6 years doing contract work for big companies and odd jobs all over including some multi-drop.I’m based in Greater Manchester, Leigh to be precise.I’ve joined CX in the hope of getting more work and basically improving my finances which is what it’s all about.Before becoming a courier i worked for McDonald’s restaurants as a manager and before that i was in the RAF, so i know all about customer service and self discipline, attributes i have found to be useful in this line of work.
I would certainly be grateful for any hints or tips for getting the best from CX that longer serving members could give me i know how important experience and knowledge are.

Hi everybody, my names Brian and I am the director of BSA Express LTD. We are a small courier company based in Leighton Buzzard Bedfordshire. We have in our fleet 4 vans 1 small, 1 MWB and 2 LWB vans.
We do have a few good customers, and have done work for large corporate companies, for example City Link.
I have to say I have been umming and arring about joining this site and have come to the conclusion that it is a very good way to meet like minded businesses, and to help make my business grow.
I hope we get a chance to prove to you how good our service is. All our drivers are competent in multi drop deliveries as well as long distance dedicated deliveries.
If you have any tips on how to make Courier Exchange really work for us, we would be very grateful for any advice you can share.

Hi everyone at cx my name is Tony burnett i am the direcor of BTB Couriers Ltd we are based in Plymouth Devon we have been trading as a ltd company since 2001 but we were establised in 1999.
We are currently running two Fiat scudo 2009 long wheel base high top vans these are plain white and not sign writen.These are able to carry two standard pallets
Because of our current client base we have to keep to plain vans because of the confidential material we carry.
We have joined cx to extend our reputation through people at cx and extend our client base also to make use of the return loads that we may be able to carry from different locations through out the UK back to Devon or Cornwall.
Any tips or advice on making the cx work for us and in return help cx work for you, please share your experience with us at BTB.

Hi all. My name is David and I am new to CX. I have been a self employed courier for the past 6 years or so. I run a Citroen Relay LWB. I am hoping that the CX community will help my business grow, and also give me some advice. I believe that you never stop learning. In a previous life I spent 22 years in the army, so self discipline, reliability, and keeping promises are not an alien concept to me. Why did I choose to be a courier? I hate offices, and wanted to be my own boss. Although there is always someone to answer to (customer or wife). I look forward to maybe meeting some of you.

Hi there, just to say hello my name is Dave Trading as DJ’s Transport Services am new to the exchange still finding my way around. I am based in Derbyshire 10 mins from junction 28 or 29 of M1
and have a LDV maxus LR95 2.8 not the biggest of vans but we all have to start somewhere, I may be new to the exchange but I have a transport pedigree that stretches back overb 100years my Great Great Grandpa used to import hay from Ireland and transport it by horse and cart from Heysham to Derbyshire my dad had over 60 years of owning is own transport business I have been driving full time for the last 12 years and prior to that I have over 25 years experience in the catering industry dealing with all sorts of people from the royal family to working in industrial catering so my strength is customer service and satisfaction, any help or advice would be gretly appreciated,

i joined c/x last friday 11 june 2010 which i have been wanting to join for ages ago but the money was’nt there at the time. i started back last july just working for local firms but sometime i would’nt get anything, so i thought got to give c/x a try and my god am i please to say i’m glad i did. the first week i have’nt stopped with the c/x jobs combiding in with the regular ones makes big differents to the pocket. i do my couriering in a vauxhall combo but i would like to go up a stage in size. anybody needs a job covering give us a call on 07846177008.

Hello, My name is Dean and my business name is DAS Services, I have been working for myself for the last seven months.
I heard about CX while looking on the internet for courier work and thought I would give it a try, I am based in Brierfield near Nelson Lancs.
I am enjoying the work so far and get along well with people and I especially like long runs up North or down South as I enjoy driving and seeing a lot of the country and also I have enjoyed meeting different people which I didn’t think I would.

Hi my name is Andy and my company is A&A Couriers based in Bury, Lancs. I have only been trading since last October but have been in the industry for 27 years, 7 years in ops, 20 in sales so I understand the importance of quality service as it was me who had to deal with all the grief when things went wrong. I run a LWB/H/Roof Iveco Daily and a VW Transporter but that is only available on Weds and w/ends as it is on contract the rest of the week. I also have a motorbike for urgent documents. Hi my name is Alan and i am the director of Pallets2go.
After working in the haulage industry for many years i took voluntry redundancy earlier this year and started up my own company.
We are a small run family business situated in STOKE-ON-TRENT with close links to the M6 motorway j15 j16, at present we operate a 3.5 tonne Iveco curtainsider and looking into buying a 3.5 tonne sprinter or similar.
we do a lot of regular work for the likes of Hambaker (Burdons group) Pallets2parcells, Kenwood transport, michelin tyres to name just a few.
We operate 24/7 7 days a week and are able in most cases to do work at very short notice, distance and night work is no problem.

Hi Everybody,
My name is Steve Hodgson, I am based in Yeovil and have been an owner driver for six months working with my brother and mainly doing European express delivery. I have also done some local and other UK jobs for a few other courier companies. I run a LWB Sprinter and decided to join CX for a bit more control over my work patterns, not being reliant on waiting for the phone to ring!
I sincerely believe in keeping my promises and never letting people down, and will always be prepared to help others in the industry if I possibly can. I am also very open to suggestions and advice.
