‘Tailgate’ is high-profile project backed by the Technology Strategy Board. Transport Exchange Group were hand-picked to offer our expertise in web based collaborative solutions in the transport sector. We are part of a consortium commissioned for a government sponsored initiative to create an online platform that caters for transport companies that currently do not have any form of Transport Management Solution. The principle is to develop an easy to use solution that will allow transport companies to enter their requirements and receive an answer that will provide a series of options that utilise various modes of transportation, including; road, rail and short sea.

We are working closely with our consortium partners to ensure that we produce a tool that encourages collaborative working and can potentially promote the lesser used modes. This project is still in its infancy but is due for completion late 2011 / early 2012.
